Chaplain Mark O'Reilly is a counselor specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintain a private practice in Sparta, MI.
I grew up in Boston Massachusetts. After serving my country in the United States Army, as an M.P. I was honorably discharged with a medical condition called hypothyroidism.
I have professional counseling experience in a private mental health hospital in Brookline, Massachusetts, called Bournewood hospital where I worked for three years on the intensive treatment unit as an aide. From there I went on to work for a rest home working with Alzheimer’s, depression and the elderly, called "Swedish Home for the Aged", I became their first male aide in a resident population of 27 women and 2 males where I worked for four years.
I also volunteered with a day activity program, called Middleboro day activity, role as a volunteer was to assist the residents in daily activity jobs such as putting pens together in the proper order, and checking to make sure they worked correctly, removing bars of soap from wrappers and stacking them in a box. Ensuring clients were safe and remained calm, and implementing discipline policy’s when necessary.
I also have experience with PTSD, addictions, anger (in adults and children), and marriage, and family counseling.
